About the practice
About True Self Me
True Self Me is US based coaching practice, serving clients virtually throughout the United States – built for people who want guidance that feels like a real relationship, not an appointment.
Here, authenticity is the starting point: you get a coach who is honest, present, and unafraid of the messy middle chapters.
The work leans on a simple belief about resilience — people are not broken puzzles to solve. Like a city block, a life is built one piece at a time, and the foundations that hold best are laid in community. Coaching here is about finding your footing, then adding the next stone.

About the practice
Who tends to land here
Some practices see everyone and specialize in nothing. This one grew up around particular rooms: dads learning to father differently than they were fathered, young men and teens carrying pressure they never got to name, and high-demand professionals who look accomplished and feel hollow.
Families show up too — the blending, renegotiating, grief-carrying kind of families, working to break patterns that have traveled further than anyone wanted them to.
If any of that sounds like your story, you are not a stranger here. Bring the whole thing.

Fahd Alam, Coach & Mentor
CPCAB Trained | MBA, LLB, BE | 20+ Years International Leadership Experience
You can be successful, capable and outwardly in control while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, angry, uncertain or stuck.
I came to coaching after more than twenty years in international business, technology, entrepreneurship and senior leadership. I have worked across countries and cultures, built businesses, led teams through difficult periods and experienced the pressures, uncertainty and personal sacrifices that often accompany ambition and responsibility.
My coaching is informed by formal training in counselling skills (CPCAB), on top of a wider academic background in Engineering and business studies.
This combination of training and real-world experience shapes the way I work.
My approach is warm, engaged and conversational. I am interested not simply in the immediate problem, but in understanding the patterns underneath it: how earlier experiences, family relationships, culture and expectations may influence the way you experience yourself and others today.
I work with adults and young professionals navigating relationship changes, family dynamics, big decisions, stress, confidence, parenting, career pressure, major life transitions, identity questions and recurring patterns.
I have a particular interest in working with professionals, executives, entrepreneurs and people carrying significant responsibility. Success can create its own kind of isolation, particularly when everyone around you expects confidence and certainty.
I also understand the importance of culture. For Pakistani, South Asian and other collectivist clients, family, marriage, religion, duty, reputation and intergenerational expectations can be deeply connected to how you move through the world.
“You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong or what you want to say.”

Coaching can begin simply with an honest conversation about where you are today, and together we can begin to understand how you got there and what you would like to change.

Reflections from Those Who've Done the Work

Physician, 40s
“I spend most of my day being the person other people turn to. Patients need reassurance, colleagues need answers, family needs you to be present. After a while, I realized I had become very good at looking composed while feeling completely exhausted underneath.
What surprised me about working with Fahd was how quickly I stopped feeling like I had to have the right words. Some conversations made me notice things I had been carrying for years without ever naming them.
I still have a demanding life. That hasn’t changed. But I understand myself differently now, and I’m no longer trying to carry everything quietly.”

Founder & Entrepreneur, 30s
“When you build a business from nothing, it becomes personal. Every win feels like proof that you’re doing something right, and every setback somehow feels like a judgment on you. I didn’t realize how much of my identity had become tied to the business succeeding.
I came to Fahd thinking I needed help dealing with stress. What we ended up talking about went much deeper than work.
Those conversations have changed the way I lead, but more importantly, they’ve changed the way I live when I’m not working.”

Senior Business Executive, 40s
“From the outside, things were going well. I had a senior position, a good income, and a family I loved. I couldn’t really explain why I felt so disconnected from all of it.
Fahd never made me feel ungrateful for struggling. He listened, but he also asked the kind of questions that stayed with me after the session was over.
I’m still ambitious. I still care deeply about my career. I just don’t feel like I have to lose myself inside it anymore.”
Coaching approach
No single framework fits every story. Coaching here draws from five practical ways of working — woven together and matched to what you actually need, not applied like a template.
Parts Work
Getting curious about the inner voices that protect, distract, and carry weight, so no part of you has to be pushed aside.
Family Patterns
Looking at the patterns and roles passed down through families, and choosing which ones continue with you.
Solution-Focused
Building on what already works. Clear, practical steps toward the future you want, not just autopsies of the past.
Story Work
Separating who you are from what happened to you — re-authoring the story in your own words.
Person-Centered
Unconditional regard, deep listening, and the conviction that you are the expert on your own life.
Blended together, these approaches let us tend to the roots of what you're carrying while still building concrete momentum toward where you want to be.
